IN A SENTENCE...
A unique arch design based on the famous whalebone arch on Whitby seafront
This new arch from Forest Garden is inspired by the famous Whalebone arch on Whitby's seafront - a monument to that town's role in the whaling industry.
It's a unique and striking design with its chunky wooden slat side panels, which come together and overlap at the top rather than forming the more usual semi-circular or gothic pointed apex.
This arch is wide too at 1.4 metres between the posts, so ideal for spanning a path or bench. There is a choice of two depths - 76cm and 150cm and of course all Whitby arches are pressure treated against rot with a 15 year guarantee.
Measurements taken from Forest Garden's official website.
